I'm always on the lookout for the next bright and shiny book!
I love that she always throws in great history so that if you are a history buff it makes you want to dig into some non-fiction. Very timely with suffragettes being brought up, especially in how woman of color were treated by their white counterparts in the push for woman's rights to vote and our current political climate with gerrymandering effecting people of color and woman of color being underrepresented in most levels of the political sphere.
I was looking for a certain type of romance and this fit the bill but sadly the story suffered for that very reason. If you're looking for a historical romance with a high steam factor this should do it. Lots of people seem to like this author and I would definitely read her again but hopefully the next book I read has as much care go into the story-line as it does the steam factor.
